Chad took the ACT a total of 18 times in high school raising his score from a 19 to a 32.
The cost is $40 per student. The minimum number of students is 30. Although there is no maximum, the limit should be based on the capability of your facility.
Payment is not expected prior to or at the workshop. After the workshop we will count the number of students and multiply by $40. We will then complete an invoice for you to be paid at a later time. If the minimum of 30 students is not met, the charge will be a flat rate of $1,200. All travel expenses are included in the student rate. There are no hidden fees.
Students: Check with your counselor on how he/she prefers for you to pay. Your counselor may want you to pay prior to the workshop or he/she may prefer for you to pay at the workshop. If you are attending a workshop at a nearby school, contact that school's counselor to see how he/she prefers your payment.
Chad will have the ACT preparation book, Chad Cargill's ACT Prep, available for purchase after the workshop.
During the workshop Chad explains how the concepts and notes directly relate to the discussion and exercises in the book. The book is $30 including tax. The notes packet provided for each student will have page references to the book as well.
Pre-programmed calculators are no longer available for purchase after the workshop.
On Sep 1st, 2014 ACT changed the rule allowing downloaded programs on calculators.

Summary: The teachers will walk away with a good understanding of what key content is tested on each ACT and an understanding of testing trends and strategies needed for maximizing ACT scores. We will cover general testing strategies that can be incorporated in the classroom. Then we will cover all of the key content tested in English and math as well as trends of the test writers. In reading, we will review general strategies as well as three different ways to take the reading test. Finally we will discuss the science section and why I believe this section should not be called science. I'll also add in a lot of scholarship discussions many of which you can also hear in the student workshop.
